MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

Engine Coolant

Engine Coolant Level Verification
WARNING
When opening the reservoir, the
coolant can be very hot and spray
out if the engine is hot. In order
to avoid getting burned, check the
coolant level when the engine is
cold.
The cooling system must be filled with
distilled water and antifreeze solution
(50% distilled water, 50% antifreeze).
For best performance, use the BRP
PREMIXED COOLANT (P/N 219 700
362).
With the engine cold, check the
coolant level as follows:
1. Park the vehicle on a firm, level sur-
face.
2. Open the front storage compart-
ment cover.
3. Remove the plastic rivet from the
right service cover.

a funnel to avoid spillage. Do not
overfill.
9. Reinstall the service cover.
NOTE: A coolant system that fre-
quently requires coolant indicates
leaks or engine problems. See an au-
thorized Can-Am roadster dealer.
