Setting up network printing
To specify the driver settings when installing the Peer to Peer Printing Tool,
refer to "Port 9100 printing (Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP/Server 2003)" on
page 4-18.
When using SMB printing, you can perform network printing without
installing the Peer to Peer Printing Tool software. For details, refer to "SMB
printing" on page 4-13.
Reminder
Before setting up network printing, install the printer driver. For details on
installing the printer driver, refer to "Installing the printer driver" on
page 3-3.
To perform network printing, change the printer port for the installed
printer driver to one for a network connection, and then change the
settings on this machine as necessary. For an IPP connection, it is
necessary to install the printer driver first.
