Power Off in Daily Operation

If the SETUP LED is lighted, press the [SETUP] key.

Hold down for about 1 second.
Move the sheet loading lever toward the back of the

unit and remove the material.

Press the [POWER] key to switch off the power.
The carriage moves to the standby position and the head
is capped.
If the carriage is already at the standby position, no
movement takes place.

When Not in Use for a Prolonged Period...

NOTICE
Do not switch off the main power with the printing head in an uncapped state (i.e., while the carriage is on the
platen).
If you leave the carriage uncapped for a long time, doing so may result in clogging of the printing head, making
it unusable.
Before switching off the main power, be sure to press the [POWER] key to switch off the sub power for the FJ-
500/400.

After carrying out "Power Off in Daily Operation," turn
off the main power switch.

Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
* If the unit will be out of use for a month or longer, follow "3-8 When Moving the Unit..." to wash the printing heads. Head washing
requires four optionally available cleaning cartridges.
