Modem Installation
The 3811Plus modem is designed for installation in a
COMSPHERE 3000 Series Carrier, which supplies
operating power and network connections. For detailed
power, DTE, and network management cabling
information, refer to the COMSPHERE 3000 Series
Carrier Installation Manual. For detailed installation and
operation instructions, see the COMSPHERE 3800Plus
Modems User's Guide.
Experienced installers may wish to use this checklist.

Checklist
Fasten the 3811Plus rear connector plates to the
carrier.
Install the 3811Plus modems into the carrier.
Connect the DTE cables.
Connect the modem in each odd-numbered slot
to the modem in the next even-numbered slot
using DTE crossover cables.
Ensure that all modems can be accessed using the
SDCP.
Configure the modems.
Configure the modems in odd-numbered slots
as WDG(Mobile)
Configure the modems in even-numbered slots
as WDG(PSTN)
If the 6700 Series NMS is installed, add the
modems to your network configuration.
