Introduction

The Dedicated Micros DV-IP range has been designed to offer distributed monitoring and
recording of multiple inputs. Combining advanced hardware technology with numerous
sophisticated viewing applications makes the product range the ideal solution for many
applications.
The DV-IP Decoder acts as a receiving station for multiple video images transmitted from NetVu
Connected video servers on the network. The Decoder receives the compressed digital data
from the Ethernet network and converts this into a format that can be displayed on a monitor.
Designed to allow integration of analogue and digital network video and also to offer the
traditional interface for CCTV surveillance. Easy to incorporate into an existing (or new) Central
Monitoring Station the DV-IP Decoder is the interface between the Ethernet network and
supplying analogue video for display on the monitor wall.
The DV-IP Decoder supports five monitor outputs that are able to display a single or multiscreen
display or up to sixteen cameras and has five audio channels to allow connections between
multiple NetVu Connected video servers and a single Decoder allowing the Operator to monitor
and control audio at various sites simultaneously.
The Decoder in conjunction with Netvu Connected video servers can be used to provide a path
between existing analogue installations a Monitoring Station, persistent connections can be
established to ensure the video from the remote sites is continually transmitted across the
Ethernet network. Alternatively one of the Dedicated Micros viewing applications can be used to
provide an interface for dynamic camera to monitor switching.
Supporting numerous network protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, FTP, TELNET, ICMP, HTTP, ARP)
the DV-IP Decoder is an ideal choice for a true converged network ensuring compatibility with
new and existing network infrastructure's and also providing the link between the analogue world
and the traditional CCTV monitoring environment.
