Note: To disable any of the passwords add comments (#) before the relevant function;

Although passwords have been configured, if the security is not enabled on the system then the
passwords will not be relevant. To check the status of the security settings, using FTP or telnet,
enter:
<ESC> m\status
This will display the following information
Check that the security setting are both set to Pass, this means security is enabled for the
Engineering and Debug modes.
To set the security up using telnet or FTP application enter
<ESC> m\security\eng\pass
The options available are; Pass – default, Open, Off
For Debug security, enter:
<ESC> m\security\debug\pass
The options available are; Pass – default, Open, Off
Note: When making a connection between a NetVu Connected server and the DV-IP Decoder, if a
password is set on the server it is necessary to configure the urlprofiles.ini file on the Decoder, refer to
Appendix B of this manual for more information.
