Reviewing the DV-IP Decoder Logs

The DV-IP Decoder can be configured to produce a number of log files, these are for:
Anonymous FTP connections
Illegal file access attempts
FTP and telnet users
Configuration of these logs is detailed in the Configuration section of this manual. The logs that
are generated can be viewed via the web interface on the DV-IP Decoder.
To access the logs:
1. Select Configuration from the Home page of the web interface
2. Select Logs, to enable the logs select System Log Set-up enable the logs that are required
and select Save.
3. The logs can now be accessed these are:

Connection Log

Anonymous FTP Log
Security Log
e-mail Log
Sent Message Log
FTP Download Log
Logfile
Logfile Backup
4. To review the files select the corresponding option, the information will be displayed on
screen
Connection Log
This log details all FTP and telnet connections made to the DV-IP Decoder.
Telnet and FTP can be allocated a username and password by enabling and
configuring the option within the USER.ini file, this file registers all the
information on the User name, IP address of the remote PC, time of
transaction.
