Step 4 Connecting Serial Devices

Communication Port
COM 1
COM 2

Each of the serial ports can be configured for port can be configured to support various
peripheral devices.
The COM port layout is as shown below, by default COM 1 is the only port enabled and is set
for Debug (Engineering mode) allowing you to connect and configure the unit.

COM 1 and COM 2 are 9 Way D-type connector's support RS232 communication ports with the

The DV-IP Decoder supports four enabled serial ports. There are
two RS232 and two RS232/RS422/RS485 ports, these are as
follows:
