6. Turn on the power switch.
Connect the power plug while pressing the
Copier key to ignore the detection of Compact
Flash.
Press and hold on the Copier key until the
message "Please wait." disappears.
7. Enter the maintenance mode and select U926 using the cursor up/down keys or numeric keys. Press the start key.
8. Press the start key to run maintenance item U926 (Rewriting FAX program). See page 1-3-38.
Downloading of the fax program and fax fonts start. Indication of [PRG EXE] will count up from 0 and end by 100.
9. Turn the power switch off and disconnect the power plug.
10. Remove Compact Flash from the machine.
11. Insert the lower part of the shield cover into
the shield box and then refit the shield cover
using the seven screws.
12. Insert the power plug and turn the power switch on.
13. Enter the maintenance mode and run maintenance item U680 (Displaying the fax board ROM version). Check that
the version of the ROM is going up.
