1. Manual/autoshift selector
When selector is in autoshift mode,
the transmission upshifts automat-
ically when the vehicle speed in-
creases. Inversely,
speed decreases, the transmission
downshifts automatically.
Using Reverse
CAUTION:
When changing from
forward to reverse, or vice-versa,
always completely stop the vehicle
and apply the brake prior to moving
the transmission lever.
The same procedures as SHIFTING
THE TRANSMISSION above apply ex-
cept for the following.
Set the transmission lever in RE-
VERSE position.

This manual should be kept in the tool
box and remain in the vehicle at all
time.

Dumping the Cargo Box

XL models
Select a level ground to dump the load
of cargo box.
WARNING
Do not attempt to dump or unload
the vehicle on an inclined surface.
Apply parking brake and place the
transmission lever on PARK position.
Dismount from the vehicle.
Open cargo box gate.
Move the release lever toward right
side and lift the front end of the cargo
box to dump.
WARNING
Never operate the release lever
without checking the position of
the load. If weight distribution on
cargo box is located towards the
back of the cargo box and the re-
lease lever is activated, the box
will want to dump on its own.
Adequately distributed cargo will
prevent unexpected dumping of
cargo box.
