MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

1. Bleeding screw
2. Engine temperature sensor
Drain the system completely.
Reinstall the coolant drain plug.
Torque to 10 N•m (89 lbf•in).

Pinch hose between radiator and ther-
mostat housing with a large hose
pincher (P/N 529 032 500) or an equiv-
alent.
NOTICE
Do not use vise-grip pliers
to pinch hose.

Fill the radiator until the coolant comes
out by the thermostat housing hole.

Install the bleeding screw then remove
the hose pincher.
Torque bleeding screw to 5 N•m
(44 lbf•in).
Complete the radiator filling.
Check the level in the coolant reservoir
and refill if necessary.
Run engine at idle with the radiator cap
off. Slowly add coolant if necessary.
At this point, wait until engine reaches
normal operating temperature.
Depress the throttle lever two or three
times; then add coolant if required.
