Placing the Adapter in an Expansion Slot

Ensure that the computer is turned off, and go to the
computer's instruction manual for instructions to install the
adapter. Install the adapter in any available 8- or 16-bit
expansion slot, and then go to step
2.

In the space provided across the top of the chart on page
25,
record the slot number of the adapter installed.

Continue with "Connecting the Adapter to the Network."

Determine the type of cable to be connected to the adapter.
