C Cabling the LAN Adapter for Ethernet to a network using
drop cable
You need a shielded-twisted-pair drop cable with AUI
connectors. Connect one end of the cable to the
adapter. Push down the sliding latch on the AUI
connector port to lock the cable in place. (See the
following figure.)
Any Media Access Units (MAUs) or transceivers used
on your AUI network can be connected to the adapter
without the use of the AUI drop cable.
