Job Control
The job control mode has three options:
Standard. The NIC waits for the printer to finish receiving the current job
before sending another job. The status line shows "done" when the job is
completely received by the NIC. This is default.
Enhanced. The NIC waits for the printer to finish receiving the current job
before sending another job. The status line shows "done" when the job is
fully printed.
Off. No job synchronization between the NIC and the printer.
Ethernet Hotport
Gives the printer the ability to handle multiple data streams simultaneously. It
allows the printer to service hosts attached to the serial, ethernet, and either
the coax or twinax ports as if they were the only interface connected.
Trickle Time. This functionality prevents an attached host from timing
out. In order to support this feature, the port has to be able to accept data
from the host and store it for future use. The selected value is the time
that the printer waits before getting the next byte of data from the host.
Set the value to be less than the host time out value. If the value is too
much shorter, the printer fills up its buffer too fast. This function is not
applicable for C/T hotport.
Timeout. This is the value used by the printer to time out from the current
port and check the other ports for data to print. When the printer has not
received data from the host after a certain period of time, it needs to
Timeout in order to service the other ports.
Report Status. When this option is enabled, faults are reported even if
the fault is not on the current active port. If the option is disabled, a fault
on the printer is reported only if it occurs on the active port.
