Only technicians who are familiar with the installation and
adjustment procedures described in previous sections of this manual
should attempt to troubleshoot or repair a problem.
This section provides information for diagnosing and troubleshooting operational problems
with the CineX35 projector. While it is impossible to foresee all problems that might occur,
the procedures outlined in this section should assist in identifying the problem.
Checklists and troubleshooting tables are provided for the following areas:

• Motor

• Ultramittent Assembly

• Constant Speed Sprocket
• Belts
• Changeover Assembly
• Shutter Drive and Jackshaft system
• Trap and Gate Assembly
• Lens Turret.
For each of these areas, one or more symptoms are described. When more than one
possibility for a symptom exists, it is generally more efficient to check causes in the order in
which they are listed.
Where applicable, references to the appropriate section of this manual are provided to aid in
repair, replacement, and testing.
