Upgrading to TPC Software v2.6 or Higher
Introduction
These instructions explain how to upgrade Touch Panel Controller software to v2.6 (or higher) via FTP. You
will use FTP to transfer new software files from your PC to the TPC currently connected to your DCP or CP
Series projector.
Requirements
•
TPC-642 or TPC-60 or TPC-66 used with any DCP or CP Series projector
•
Windows ™ 2000 or XP running on a laptop or PC.
•
TPCSuite**.zip package extracted to PC
• FTP application such as FFFTP or WS_FTP, or as provided in Windows
Before You Begin
How To Identify Your TPC Model
The TPC install program will auto-detect the type of TPC present and will automatically install the proper
software package. However, if you know which TPC model you have, you can save downloading time by
choosing only the relevant files:
•
TPC-642 is the original style blue controller in a blue metal housing.
•
TPC-60/TPC-66 is a dark brown/gray controller in a black molded case (new Apr. 2006)
• Alternatively, query the TPC with an SST serial command:
-- (SST? 4 2)
(SST! 004 002 001 052 "Touch Panel - OS 1.52") = TPC-642
-- (SST? 4 2)
(SST! 004 002 001 032 005 "Touch Panel - OS 1.32.005") = TPC-60
-- (SST? 4 2)
