Caution:
If the hardware platform is downgraded, data can be lost.
For example, the removal of a hard disk is not supported:

If ACD statistics are available

If L3 VMU support is available
Lola installation is required and all data can be lost.
4.12.1.5.1 Upgrading Phone sets
All phone sets not supported in releases lower than R8.0 must be installed after the successful
migration to R8.x.
The phone sets not supported by earlier releases must not be plugged before migrating to a
version that can support them.
4.12.1.5.2 Migration
Prerequisites
To carry out an upgrade to R8.x, you need:

A migration kit for the PowerCPU
-
The correct version of R8.x
-
LOLA R4.x
-
Free disk space on the installer hard disk to contain all existing data
Note:
Depending on the existing hardware, data can be stored on Hard disk drives or FLASH/XMEM.
Migration to OmniPCX Office RCE Small, Medium, Large
The following sequence is used to migrate from an R3.x/R4.x/R5.x/R6.x/R7.x Alcatel-Lucent
OmniPCX Office Premium Edition CS or Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office Advanced Edition CS
to R8.x OmniPCX Office RCE Small, Medium, Large.
1. Use the OMC to save configuration data.
2. Use LOLA to save customer data from the current main CPU.
3. Unplug the CPU and the unsupported boards from the system.
4. Change the existing hardware for R8.x hardware
5. Plug the PowerCPU.
6. Use LOLA to install the R8.x.
7. Use LOLA to restore the previously saved customer data.
8. Use OMC to restore the previously saved configuration data.
Migration to R8.x OmniPCX Office RCE Compact
The following sequence is used to migrate to R8.x OmniPCX Office RCE Compact.
1. Use the OMC to save configuration data
2. Use LOLA to save customer data from the current main CPU
