EGR VALVE POSITION SENSOR INSPECTION

Voltage Inspection
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EGR valve position sensor and connect the vacuum pump to the EGR
valve.
2. Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
3. Verify that the voltage at terminal B changes while applying the vacuum to the EGR valve as show in the graph.
• If not as specified, replace the EGR valve.

Resistance Inspection
1. Disconnect the EGR valve position sensor connector.
2. Measure the resistance between terminal A and C.
• If not as specified, replace the EGR valve.

START_SW, CPP, CPP/PNP,
IVS, AC_REQ, APS1, APS2,
IAT2, ECT, BOOST_DSD, FRP,
FRP_A, RPM, VSS.
Inspect PCM control relay.
Inspect battery.
Perform applicable DTC
troubleshooting.
