DTC P0123
Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor No.1 circuit high input
• The PCM monitors the input signal from accelerator pedal position sensor No.1. If the voltage from
accelerator pedal position sensor No.1 is more than 4.7 V, the PCM determines that there is a malfunction
in the accelerator pedal position sensor No.1 circuit.
DETECTION
Diagnostic support note
CONDITION
• The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in the first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
• The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
• APP sensor No.1 malfunction
• Connector or terminal malfunction
POSSIBLE
• Short to power supply in wiring harness between APP sensor terminal B and PCM terminal 10
CAUSE
• Open circuit in wiring harness between APP sensor terminal D and PCM terminal 91
• PCM malfunction
