3. Connect a Console
Follow these instructions to connect a console.

Required Equipment

RJ-45-to-DB-25 console cable, with a 25-to-9-pin female adapter if you are using
a PC (See "Console Cable" on page D-2 for pinout information.)
One of these cables is shipped with all Office Router models. To order additional
cables from Lucent, specify product code CBL-CDB45. The adapter is available
from most computer equipment suppliers.
PC or terminal

Procedure

1. Attach the RJ-45 connector to the Office Router console port, and attach
the DB-25 connector to the console port of a PC or terminal (OR-M
shown).
2. Ensure that DIP switch 1 is up (OR-M shown).
When the Office Router is turned on with DIP switch 1 up, the S0 port is set to
9600bps, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and software flow control (XON/XOFF).
