The hard disk drive (HDD) LED flashes red when HDD is
active.
 Do not reset the ETU while the HDD LED is flashing.

The VMS(2)/(4)/(8)-U10 ETU has four connectors:

5.9.6 Installation Precautions
The ETUs used in this system make extensive use of
CMOS technology that is very susceptible to static
electricity.
 Static discharge must be avoided when handling
ETUs.
Always use the following precautions:
Wear a grounding strap anytime you handle the

ETU.
Make all ETU DIP switch setting changes before
¥
inserting it in the KSU. Ensure that KSU is off.
Carry ETU in a conductive polyethylene bag to
¥
prevent static electricity damage.
