VLAN Settings Overview
A Ruckus Wireless access point is like a network switch, in that it supports Wi-Fi
connections. As such, like many advanced switches, Ruckus APs conform to the
IEEE 802.1Q standard -- the standard that defines virtual LANs. In an 802.1Q switch,
the concept of VLANs is always present. If a packet arrives without an 802.1Q
header, it is assigned to the native VLAN or untag VLAN.
Each of the AP's wireless interfaces can be assigned a single VLAN. When a packet
enters the AP through its wireless interface, the packet is assigned to the Access
VLAN configured on the Configuration > Wireless page (by default, 1).
