In the Control Panel, double-Click the System icon.
The System Properties window opens.

Click the Device Manager tab.

Double-click PCMCIA Socket.

Click PCIC or compatible PCMCIA controller.

Click Remove.
A removal confirmation window opens.

Click OK.
The System Settings Change window opens.

Remove the Network Drivers Disk from the floppy drive.

Click Yes to restart the computer.
When you restart the computer the first time after removing the PCIC
device, you will be prompted to select a driver. Choose Do not install a
driver. This prompt is not displayed again.
