Solving Problems

If your OmniBook has a problem, find the symptom below that matches your
situation. Try the suggestions one at a time.

Accessory Problems

If a multimedia expansion slice port isn't working
• Check the connection between the device and the expansion slice.
• Check the connection between the OmniBook and the expansion slice.
If you can't boot from a CD in the CD-ROM drive
• Press ESC during the boot process, then choose the CD-ROM drive as the boot
device (a temporary change). See the next suggestion for a permanent change.
• Check the boot order in the Setup utility (Boot Options, Main menu). The
CD-ROM must come first.
• Make sure you are using the CD-ROM drive in the multimedia expansion slice.
You cannot boot from an external CD-ROM drive.
• Check that the CD is bootable.
• Reset the OmniBook.
