Serial and Parallel Port Problems

If a serial modem doesn't work properly
• In Windows Help use the modem troubleshooter.
• Check the port cable connection (it may be loose).
If the serial or parallel port is not working
• Check settings in the Setup utility (under System Devices). Make sure that
Parallel and Serial ports are enabled.
• Check the port cable connection (it may be loose).
