To connect Universal Serial Bus devices

The Universal Serial Bus (USB) provides a bi-directional serial interface for adding
peripheral devices such as game controllers, serial and parallel ports, and scanners
to a single bus. The OmniBook and the multimedia expansion slice both have a USB
connector. If the multimedia expansion slice is connected to the computer, two
USB connectors can be used simultaneously.
1. From the Start menu, shut down (or suspend) the OmniBook. (Some USB
devices do not require this step if they can be "hot docked".)
2. On the OmniBook, open the rubber cover of the USB port.
3. Connect the USB equipment to the USB port on the computer or on the
multimedia expansion slice.
4. Press the power button to turn on the OmniBook. Windows 95 automatically
recognizes the USB device. Some USB devices can be connected to the
OmniBook in series with other USB devices—a "daisy-chain" connection.
