Allows redundant
network paths to be
defined in both SRB and
transparent switching
configurations.
Enables Spanning Tree
to be implemented on
both Ethernet and
Token-Ring networks,
as well as IBM
Spanning Tree on the
Token-Ring side.
When in SRB/SRT
mode, a combination of
IBM spanning tree and
IEEE 802.1D is used.

duplicate STP modes allow
operation in both transparent
