AMIBIOS has been integrated into many motherboards for over a decade.

In the past, people often referred to the AMIBIOS setup menu as BIOS,

BIOS setup or CMOS setup.

With the AMIBIOS Setup program, you can modify BIOS settings and

control the special features of your computer. The Setup program uses a

number of menus for making changes and turning the special features on

or off. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the PCE-5124 setup

screens.

AMI's BIOS ROM has a built-in Setup program that allows users to mod-

ify the basic system configuration. This type of information is stored in

battery-backed up CMOS so it retains the Setup information when the

power is turned off.
