Begin the initialization process

To begin the initialization process, at the flashing Nortel Networks screen, quickly
press each of the four soft keys (located at the bottom of the display screen) once,
pressing from left to right.
If your network supports DHCP go to
page
106. If your network does not support DHCP go to
support DHCP" on page

If your network supports DHCP

At the prompt in the display area of your phone, enter the configuration
parameters listed in
Table 16 DHCP configuration parameters

Tip: If you miss the flashing introduction screen, unplug and plug in
your IP Phone 2002 to reach the configuration screen where you can
press the soft keys.

Warning: The VLAN parameter must not be selected unless the
underlying network switches are configured to filter on VLAN IDs.
Otherwise, the IP Phone 2002 can fail to work properly.
