Front Tray
Printed paper ejects here. Open it before printing.
Load paper in the Front Tray to print on large size paper, such as 14" x 17" / 36 x 43 cm paper, or on thick
paper.

Pull out to support paper. Pull it out before printing.

Press to turn the power on or off.
Important
Disconnecting the power plug
When disconnecting the power plug after turning off the power, be sure to confirm that
the
Power
lamp is not lit. If the power plug is disconnected from the wall outlet while the
Power
lamp is lit or flashing, the printer may become unable to print properly since the
Print Head is not protected.
Note
When the power is turned on, the printer may start mixing the ink to maintain ink quality (for
about 10 seconds to 3 minutes).

Auto power off feature
You can set the printer to turn off automatically when no print data is sent for a certain
interval.
Specify this setting in the Maintenance sheet of the printer driver setup window
(Windows) or in the Canon IJ Printer Utility (Macintosh).

Power lamp
Lights blue after flashing when the power is turned on.

RESUME/CANCEL button
Press to cancel a print job in progress. You can press this button after resolving a printer error to dismiss
an error message and resume printing.

Lights or flashes orange when an error, such as paper-out or ink-out, occurs.
