v Before you install a power supply FRU, make sure that its power
switch is turned off.
v The power supplies are interchangeable and have reversible left and right
levers. You can insert a power supply into either slot as long as you make
sure that the lever opens in the correct direction. The lever on the left
power supply opens to the right; the lever on the right power supply opens
to the left.
With the lever open and facing you (LEDs on the right), slide the new power
supply all the way into the empty slot and close the lever until it locks in place.
After you turn on the power, the green LED on the power supply should be
glowing. If so, close the cabinet panels or doors (if applicable). If the amber
LED comes on or the drive module will not power-up, turn off the power
switches and make sure that both FRUs are inserted and locked in place. Wait
at least ten seconds, then turn on the power and check the LEDs. If the amber
LEDs remain on or the drive module will not power-up, it probably means that
the midplane has failed (see "Replace a Failed MidPlane" on page 173).
