Basic Components

This section provides a brief description and reference pages for the drive module's
primary components.

Front View

There are two primary components on the front of the drive module (Figure 71):
v Front panel – a decorative panel that contains twenty light emitting diodes
v Drive FRUs – ten portable containers for disk drives. See "Drive FRUs" on

Back View

There are three primary components (Figure 72) on the back of the drive module:
v Fan FRUs – two portable containers for the cooling fans. See "Fan FRUs" on
