Wiring and Device Connections

Overview

This chapter lists the ports and components of the Enzo Meeting Presentation System and provides details about
connections and wiring.

Front Panel Components

The following section lists the components on the front panel of the NMX-MM-1000.

POWER

The front panel features one LED noting the power and alarm state. The LED appears in green (active and no alarm) or
red (one or more alarms). When power is first applied to the device, the LED appears as solid red then blinks green while
the device is booting. When the device is finished booting and the device is ready for use, the LED remains solid green.

USB

The front panel features two Type-A USB connectors for mouse and keyboard functionality and reading from and
writing to a mass storage device, such as USB hard drives or flash drives. (USB external hard drives may require their
own power sources. The maximum current allowed across all USB ports is 4W.)
Note: The USB connectors support USB mass storage devices using a FAT format. USB mass storage devices using an
NTFS format may not work on these ports.
Note: Only one USB drive can be mounted and used at a given time. Once you connect a USB drive and Enzo mounts the
drive, you can access the files on it. If you do not receive a message stating the USB drive is mounted, Enzo did not
recognize the drive. A storage device's contents are not accessible if the device is connected while another storage device
occupies a USB port. If a first USB drive is connected, mounted, and unmounted, a second USB drive will still not be
recognized unless the first USB drive is removed from the Enzo device.

Button

You can use the pushbutton on the front panel to go directly to the System Settings screen or to put the Enzo into sleep
mode. Pressing and holding the button opens the System Settings screen on the video output (see the System
Settings section on page 34 for more information.) A single press of the button puts the Enzo into sleep mode.
