GEAR SELECTOR LEVER IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Mode Switch
• W: Winter mode
• S: Standard mode
Use the standard mode in normal
driving conditions and use the
winter mode on slippery road.
Shiftlock Release Button
when locked in "P" position
If you cannot shift out from "P" position,
move the selector lever while pushing this
hole with a sharp object such as ball point
pen. At this moment, the brake pedal
should be depressed
Adjustment for Shiftable
Gear in "-D+" Position
The shiftable gear is down/up by one step
as the lever is moved to left(-)/right(+) direction.
To shift into any other position,
depress the brake pedal (ignition
switch: "ON").
Shift lever moves only when
the brake pedal is depressed.
Shift lever moves without
depressing the brake pedal,
however for safety reasons,
the brake pedal should be
depressed.
Shift lever moves without
depressing the brake pedal.
WARNING
• To shift into "-D+" from "N" position after stopping the vehicle, you
have to depress the brake pedal. Make sure that the shift indicator
"D" and "1" are coming on before driving off.
• Never depress the accelerator pedal when moving the gear se-
lector lever.
• If you have to stop on a hill, depress the brake pedal securely.
