STARTING THE ENGINE AND DRIVING OFF THE VEHICLE

1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Make sure that there are no persons or obstacles in the
danger area around the vehicle.
WARNING
In automatic transmission equipped vehicle, depress the brake
"P"
pedal when the selector lever is at position. Never depress
the accelerator pedal.
CAUTION
The engine in automatic transmission equipped vehicle can be
started only when the selector lever is at
("P" position is preferred). The engine in manual transmission
equipped vehicle can be started only when the clutch pedal is
fully depressed.

Do not turn the ignition key to
gine is running. It could result in serious start motor damage.
