GEAR SELECTOR LEVER IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

• : Winter mode
S
• : Standard mode
Use the standard mode in normal driving
conditions.
Shift lock Release Button
when locked in the "P" position
If you cannot move the selector lever from
the "P" position, try to move the lever while
pushing down here with a sharp object
such as a ballpoint pen. For your safety,
turn off the engine and depress the brake
pedal before the attempt.
Adjustment for Shiftable Gear in
"-D+"
The shiftable gear can be adjusted by mov-
ing the selector lever to left(-) or right(+).

WARNING
• To shift into "-D+" from the "N" position after stopping the vehicle, you have to depress
the brake pedal. Make sure that the shift indicator "D1" is coming-on before driving off.
• When beginning to drive from a complete stop, depress the brake pedal for your safety
before shifting gears.
• Never depress the accelerator pedal when moving the gear selector lever.
• If you have to stop on a hill, depress the brake pedal securely.

To shift into any other position,
