Maintenance

Regular work
smart recommends that you have the ebike serviced once a year at a qualified specialist
workshop.
Before each journey
Check tyres and wheels

Check the drive belt
R
Check the battery lock
R
Inspect the functioning of the brake system
R
Inspect the brake system for wear
R
Check bolt and screw connections
R
Every 300 - 500 km (186 - 310 miles)
Check the drive belt for wear and correct tension/
R
routing
Remove dirt from the drive belt and belt pulleys
R
Check that all bolt and screw connections are
R
fastened securely
Measure the brake disc wear
R
Every 3000 km (1864 miles)
Check the following components and replace, if
necessary:
headset
R
wheel hubs
R
pedals
R
drive belt
R
gear cable
R
Once a year
Check torques of all screw and bolt connections.

Check gearshift, headset and brake settings
R
Check the drive belt for correct tension and wear
R
Check tyres and wheels
R
Check wear on parts subject to high stress
