How to Use the Single Document Feed Tray

1 Placing the Original:
❍ On the Original Glass or

In the Automatic Document
Feeder
2 Only if you are using a custom
paper size:
Specify the paper width and length
in the User's Choice Settings. For
more information, see page 3-16.
Bend the feed edge of the copy

paper up a little. This makes it
easier for the Document Feeder to
grab it.
4 Never place more than a single
sheet of copy paper into the Single
Feed Tray.
5 Place the paper into the Single
Feed Tray so that it is flush against
the Document Feeder. The side to
be printed must be face up.
6 Select manual Single Feeding
Mode using the [PAPER SELECT
MODE] key.
The standard A4 paper size is
indicated on the Display Panel.
