Data indicator ON
Indicates when data received from the host computer is stored in
the printer's memory.

Data indicator OFF
Indicates that no data is stored in the printer's memory; usually
immediately after "power on" or "reset."

Data indicator flashing
Indicates that the printer is receiving data from the host com-
puter.
