USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Button B (the unmarked black button on the main panel of the remote) switches
between the two modes of operation of the Remote Control. Press the button to either
control the Run Time Control dialog box exclusively or to operate the windows
pointer.
While the remote is being used to access the Run Time Control dialog box, the
Trigger on the underside of the Remote Control is used to make or cancel an
acquisition. It has the same function as pressing the green Take Signal button or the
red Cancel Take Signal on the toolbar of the main window.
Button 1 is used to toggle between the two gauges of the Run Time Control dialog
box. Each sliding bar is activated in turn.
Button 4 operates as for button 1.
Button 2 is used to toggle between the three degrees of control over the gauges i.e.
Single Step, Fine and Course. The Single Step control allows the active gauge to
move in discrete steps of one. Fine control enables the gauges to be moved at a faster
speed than single step control and the Coarse control enables the gauges to be moved
even faster.
Button 3 is used to switch the 'Autoscaling' of the data in the active data window on
and off (see SECTION 4.7 Displaying Data).
