DISPLAYING DATA
You may add up to eight overlays to your original data trace. The original data trace
is always displayed in blue. Each overlay appears in a unique identifying color.
'Add Another Trace To Display' Dialog Box
Use the color-coded Active Trace buttons to choose the trace you want to be able
Active Trace
to manipulate in the Data Window. The values on the horizontal and vertical axes
will change to correspond to the active trace (and will be presented in the same color
as the trace itself). Once active, a trace can be manipulated using the Zoom In,
Zoom Out, Rescale and Reset buttons in the same manner as any 2D Display.
If you want to remove an overlay, first make sure that it is the active trace (when a
Remove Overlay
trace is active, the values on the display axes match it in color). If necessary use the
Active Trace buttons to select a new active trace. Now, to remove the overlay, click
the Remove Overlay button.
The Overlay and Keep feature is used only with 'live' data acquired into the #0
Overlay and Keep
Acquisition Window. If you have just acquired data that you think you might want to
compare with subsequent data, click Overlay and Keep. In the Acquisition Window
you will see the 'live' trace – which is always colored blue – along with an overlaid
copy. In addition, you will see a new Data Window containing the selected data.
The new Data Window is minimized at the bottom of the screen. At a later stage you
may choose to save the contents of this new Data Window to file.
