Connecting AC Output to an Existing AC Circuit

Do not connect the XM Series Inverter to an AC branch circuit that has
high-power consumption loads.
The XM Series Inverter will not operate electric heaters, air conditioners,
stoves, and other electrical appliances that consume more than 1000 watts
(XM 1000) or 1800 watts (XM 1800).
A Xantrex-tested and approved GFCI must be connected to the XM Series
Inverter AC output. Other types may fail to operate properly when
connected to the XM Series Inverter. Although you can reuse the factory-
installed GFCI, Xantrex has also tested and approved the following GFCIs
for use with the XM Series Inverter:
For more information about GFCIs, see the application note "Using GFCI
Receptacles on Xantrex Inverters and Inverter/Chargers" in the Document
Library at www.xantrex.com.

WARNING: Shock hazard
Maintain correct wiring polarity.
Do not connect an AC source (such as a generator or utility power) to the
AC wiring output of the XM Series Inverter.
The XM 1000 will not operate if its output is connected to AC voltage from
another source, and potentially hazardous or damaging conditions may occur.
These conditions can occur even if the inverter is off.
