The selectable settings and the default settings vary depending on the country where you have
purchased the FAX. The values shown here are average values.

* To adjust the paper cassette to accept letter-size paper, it is necessary to attach the dedicated paper guide to the
paper cassette. For details on adjusting the paper size of the cassette, contact your local authorised Canon dealer
or the Canon help line.
15-12 The Menu System
Description
Enables/disables reduction of faxes to fit on the paper loaded in
the multi-purpose tray.
If you select ON, you can select the direction of the reduction.
Select the size of the paper loaded in the paper cassette or the
multi-purpose tray.
CASSETTE: Select the size of paper you are loading in the paper
cassette.
MP TRAY: Select the size of paper you are loading on the multi-
purpose tray. If you select CUSTOM here, you can select from
CUSTOM1/LONG and CUSTOM2/SHORT.
Enables/disables economy printing.
Selects whether the FAX continues printing when
toner level is low (CHANGE CARTRIDGE displayed in the LCD).
RX TO MEMORY: Stops printing and received faxes are stored in
memory.
KEEP PRINTING: Continues printing even when toner level is
low. Select this setting when you do not have a new toner
cartridge available and need to print any faxes received in
memory.
