Possible cause
The multi-purpose tray may
contain too many sheets.
The multi-purpose tray may
contain more than one type of
paper.
The transparencies may not be
loaded correctly.
The paper itself may be causing
the jams.
Solution
Make sure the multi-purpose tray
is not filled past the limit. See
page 2-37.
Do not force the stack into the
multi-purpose tray.
Load only one type of paper at a
time.
Make sure the paper you use
meets the requirements for media
given on page 4-2.
Let the paper run out before you
refill the multi-purpose tray.
Avoid mixing new paper with
paper remaining in the multi-
purpose tray.
Make sure you load no more than
one transparency at a time.
Fan the paper before loading it in
the multi-purpose tray.
This keeps the sheets from
sticking together.
Make sure the paper you are using
meets the requirements given on
page 4-2.
