3. If a person answers, you can converse normally. When you hear the other party
answer, pick up the handset so you can talk if you have not already done so.
Then go to step 4.

If you hear a high pitched signal, instead of the other party's voice, they are
ready to receive your document. Go to step 6.
4. Ask the other party to press the start button on their fax and then hang up their
handset.
5. After the other party presses the start button on their fax, you will hear a high
pitched signal.
6. Press Start/Copy on your fax and hang up your handset.
❏ The LCD displays TX and the transmission number (TX/RX NO.).
Be sure to press the Start/Copy button before you hang up, or you will disconnect
the call.
