Description
ExpressCard assembly
Before removing the ExpressCard assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the ExpressCard assembly:
1.
Position the computer upright and open as far as possible.
2.
Remove the Torx T8M2.5x4.0 screw (1) that secures the light pipe to the computer, and then lift
the light pipe from the computer (2).
3.
Remove the four Torx T8M2.5x4.0 screws (3) that secure the ExpressCard assembly to the
computer.
4.
Lift up on the right side of the board to disengage it from the system board connector (4), and
then pull the assembly upward and to the right to remove it from the computer (5).
