Before removing the primary hard drive, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Position the computer upside down on a flat surface.

7. Loosen the 3 hard drive screws (1), and then unlock the latch (2).
8. Grasp the latch to pull the hard drive (3) out of the hard drive bay.
9.
If it is necessary to remove the hard drive bracket, follow these steps:
a. Remove the four Phillips M3.0x3.0 screws (1) that secure the hard drive bracket to the hard
drive.
