Disconnect any external options (such as a keyboard and monitor) from the front or rear of

Remove the system cover and front panel (see "Removing the Cover" and "Removing the

Remove any installed 5 1/4-inch devices, including the 5 1/4-inch two-device bracket

housing the 3 1/2-inch device (see "Removing a 5 1/4-Inch Accessible Device" earlier in
this section).
Unplug the signal and power cables from the back of the device(s).

Press in on the tab on each side of the device and pull the device out of the bay.

Remove any installed bay cover and rails (see "Installing a 5 1/4-Inch Accessible Device,"

step 2, earlier in this section).
Press in on the tab on each side of the cover.

Pull the cover out until the cover and rails separate.

Reinstall the 5 1/4-inch two-device bracket in the bottom bay by sliding the bracket into the

bay until it latches in place (see the following figure for bracket placement).
Reinstall all other 5 1/4-inch devices by sliding each into its bay until it latches in place (see

the following figure for device placement).

Reinstall any rails and bay covers. The bay cover(s) and rails must be installed in all empty

Slide each rail into its slot until it latches in place (see "Removing a 5 1/4-Inch

With the arrows on the sides of the bay cover pointing towards the top of the chassis,

align the cover with the two rails, and press the cover in until it locks in place against
the chassis (see "Removing a 5 1/4-Inch Accessible Device," step 6, for details).
Connect all signal and power cables to the devices.

Reposition the logo plate on the front cover.
10.
Unclip the logo plate tabs from inside the front panel.

Reposition the logo plate so it is readable when the chassis is in the horizontal position.

Press the tabs into the front panel until they click in place.
