Problems and Solutions
Solution
1.
Power the system off. Check for proper
jumper settings (see Section 2), then power-on the
system.
2.
Check the condition of the selected bootload
device (diskette, disc, or hard disk) for bad boot
track or incorrect OS files.
3.
Try booting OS from diskette or disc, or
recopy OS files onto hard disk.
4.
Verify correct hard disk is selected.

Check power and signal cable connections
between diskette drive and power supply.
2.
Check diskette drive cable. Replace as
necessary.
3.
Check power supply.
4.
Replace diskette drive.
5.
Replace system board.

Check cable connections between lamp and
system board.

Check that the IDE channel and hard drive are
enabled in Setup (see Section 2).

Check signal/power cable connections
between hard drive, system board, power supply.
2.
Reseat all hard drive cable connectors.
3.
Check hard drive jumper settings.

Check power supply.
5.
Check hard drive cable and hard drive.
Replace as necessary.

Systematically swap DIMMs.

Check to see if DIMM configuration is valid
