4 Component Firmware

Your HP Cluster Platform configuration arrives with the latest versions of the firmware installed
on the components. However, the firmware for these components may be updated at a future
date. This manual does not provide instructions on how to install or upgrade firmware for the
components described in this document, but does provide pointers on where to obtain firmware
upgrades.
IMPORTANT:
Do not obtain firmware revisions from other HP or third-party Web sites. You must ensure that
the firmware revision is the same for all types of cluster component (nodes, switches, and
interconnects).

4.1 Component Firmware Updates

The following links provide you with pointers to firmware update sites for various interconnects
and other Cluster Platform components.
Caution:
Depending on how you subscribe for driver and firmware support, you might be advised of a
mandatory or recommended firmware upgrade for a specific cluster component. Even in the
case of mandatory upgrades, consult with your HP representative before proceeding with an
upgrade. Loading an unsupported firmware revision might prevent your cluster from functioning
correctly. If you are uncertain, verify the firmware revision through your normal support
escalation channel.
